With a strong background in business ownership, Vicki came to Storm Literary after working at a different agency and also working as a volunteer and Regional Advisor for SCBWI Northern Ohio. Claire (she/her) is a literary agent with a passion for a wide range of fiction and nonfiction for adults. After graduating from UT Austin, she worked at a mid-sized agency before joining the PSLA team. Claire seeks projects with unique voices, interesting writing styles, and compelling characters. She enjoys the creative process of working with creators and collaborating closely with them throughout all stages of their careers, and she has represented everything from debuts to NYT bestsellers. Having grown up in Wisconsin, she has a soft spot for stories set in the Midwest.

Danielle Bukowski is a literary agent with Sterling Lord Literistic.

Danielle joined Sterling Lord Literistic in 2014 and spent several years in the foreign rights department before transitioning fully to agenting.

Representing fiction for adults from smart bookclub to literary, and select nonfiction, Danielle is particularly looking for narratives from writers traditionally excluded from the publishing industry. For fiction, she likes books that balance plot with voice, have a strong sense of place, a unique hook, and are stylistically bold.

For nonfiction, she’s looking for work grounded in the author’s personal interest, rigorously reported and researched, and will expand the reader’s view of the world. Kim Lindman is a literary agent with Stonesong.

Kim joined Stonesong as an assistant in 2018, and now holds the positions of Associate Literary Agent and Social Media Coordinator. Originally from the West Coast, Kim studied English Literature with a subfocus in Journalism at Seattle Pacific University, where she worked as a copyeditor. Since moving to the NYC area, she has worked as a distillery tour guide, a barista, and a researcher for the United Nations.

In nonfiction, Kim is looking for platform- or expertise-driven cookbooks, cocktail books, investigative journalism, social justice, social science, pop science, self-help and wellness. While she is primarily drawn to books with practical elements and actionable takeaways, she is also looking for narrative non-fiction that makes niche subjects accessible and engaging for a general audience.

Kim also considers select adult fiction: she has special interest in magical realism and speculative novels that straddle the line between literary and commercial. “I accept submissions in the areas of adult fiction and select narrative nonfiction. In adult fiction, I enjoy upmarket and commercial fiction, women’s fiction, psychological thrillers/suspense, crime dramas, mystery, and contemporary and historical fiction. I do enjoy literary fiction so long as there is a discernible structure/plot. (I am not the best fit for stories focused on an emotional or sensory journey—beautiful as the writing may be—if the storyline is vague or absent.) I adore stories with humor, well-done ensemble casts, and plots that deliver the unexpected. I’m not a good match for science fiction but am open to stories with light elements of fantasy or magical realism (think The House in the Cerulean Sea).
